Shipping Services
$40 + actual shipping
Pack and ship to any FFL in the country
These Shipping Services cover outbound packing and shipping from our shop. That is separate from inbound transfers you receive at Double H. We can pack and ship on your behalf for Mag-na-port barrel porting, Briley thin-wall choke threading, Browning Dura-Touch recall service, or shipment to an FFL you choose. For each of these services, our charge is a flat $40 for handling and packing materials, plus the actual carrier cost.
Our preferred method is UPS Ground. We often rate and label through Pirate Ship, which helps keep shipping costs competitive. We will also work with the shipper of your choice when that fits the job better. When we pay Mag-na-port or Briley for you, their charges are included when we settle your bill.
Ship firearms to Mag-na-port for barrel porting
Mag-na-port International, of Harrison Township, Michigan, is widely known for EDM barrel porting on handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Their process cuts precise ports in the barrel to reduce felt recoil and muzzle lift. When done properly, porting is not intended to change velocity or inherent accuracy in a meaningful way. The usual benefit is a softer-shooting gun that returns to target more quickly. Handgun and shotgun porting work is often on the order of about two weeks after Mag-na-port receives the firearm, though custom or additional gunsmithing can take longer. Handguns must be shipped through an FFL. For Mag-na-port’s current services and pricing, please see their website at magnaport.com.
How it works with Double H
Bring the firearm in, or arrange drop-off, and tell us which Mag-na-port service you want. Our charge is a flat $40 for handling and packing materials, plus the actual carrier cost, plus Mag-na-port’s charges at their published rates. Mag-na-port’s return shipping and insurance may apply and will be included when we settle your bill.
Ship shotgun barrels to Briley for thin-wall threading
For in-shop choke threading on 12 gauge and 20 gauge, see our Shotgun Choke Threading page. Briley Manufacturing, of Houston, Texas, machines and threads fixed-choke shotgun barrels for Briley thin-wall screw-in choke tubes. Flush and extended tubes are available in multiple gauges and constrictions. Many packages include a set of choke tubes. Threading only, without tubes, is also available. For current options and pricing, please see briley.com.

Ship to an FFL of your choice
We can pack and ship a firearm to another FFL on your behalf. Common reasons include sending a gun ahead for a hunt through an FFL near your destination, completing an out-of-state sale, fulfilling a GunBroker or similar auction sale, or sending a firearm to a family member through their FFL.
Please provide the receiving FFL’s name, address, phone number, and a copy of their license or license number as required. Our charge is a flat $40 for handling and packing materials, plus the actual carrier cost. Any transfer fee charged by the receiving FFL is between you and that dealer and is not included in our fee.
Browning Dura-Touch recall
Certain Browning and Winchester firearms were finished with Dura-Touch coating on the stock and related parts. Over time, that coating can deteriorate. Common signs include a sticky or tacky feel, peeling, or bubbling. Browning offers a free claim process to evaluate the firearm and, when the coating shows deterioration, repair or replace the affected stock and related parts at no charge for the repair work itself. Browning’s published turnaround commitment is up to six months from receipt of the firearm. Official claim information and the claim form are at duratouchsupport.browning.com.
Browning requires the entire firearm for this service, not the stock alone. Factory accessories such as magazines and magazine caps should go with the gun. Remove aftermarket items (scopes, slings, choke tubes, aftermarket sights, and similar) before drop-off. Do not send a gun case.
How it works with Double H
We can pack, ship, and receive the firearm for you on the same terms as our other shipping services: a flat $40 for handling and packing materials, plus the actual carrier cost. Bring the complete firearm and the factory accessories Browning requires, or arrange drop-off, and we will handle shipment to Browning’s service process and receipt when the work is finished. Browning’s repair or replacement of qualifying Dura-Touch parts is free; our shipping and handling charges still apply.
